Industrial Revolution is a new game I'm working on. It's a tycoon/simulator game, in which you start with nothing, and have the freedom to build up a massive industrial infrastructure, from de-forestry to power stations. It's going to be open-ended, with no linear path to take and a variety of methods of building up an empire. The game is still in VERY early development, but you've got to start somewhere and it's a game I'm investing a lot of my energy into. I'm currently looking for an artist, and possible programmers, so if anybody is interested in supporting my project, please get in touch!

Updated GUI and Workers

News

Not many new changes today, I just wanted to finish up on the new look so I put it aside and focus on gameplay next week. This included changing the dock icons, minimap and drawing up some new workers to go forward with. There a few minor graphics I haven’t updates, but these are so unimportant and will take so little time to redo on the fly that I’m happy to leave them be for now.Tomorrow I aim to implement the workers building the new buildings/homes/etc. with a nice animation and progress bar rather than having them plop in. I also will modify the chopping trees code, as I had to change the way tiles store trees in order to blend the tiles easier.

After taking a bit of a break from working on Industrial Revolution, it was nice to come back and make it feel fresh. Best way to do this, new art.

Considering the Engine, I'd say he makes it in Java.
