This new perspective on the Heretic/HeXen universe was the biggest critical success in Raven Software's storied history. Absolutely mediocre project. It deserves what it got.
WAY too underrated. I mean come on! Severence gets a 9.7 here even though its balls, but Heretic 2, despite being a masterpiece, gets a 8.2. You people!

Heretic 2 i find is good with or without mods. although i am inclined to agree heretic 2 neeeds more mods

I have only ever found 3 MODS for Heretic II. one of them hardly even changed the game. One wouldn't work. And the other kept crashing.
All round, a damn fine game. But more MODS are required for it. Make it a bit different.....
