Gunman Chronicles is a futuristic first-person shooter computer game using the Half-Life game engine. It was originally planned as a total conversion for Quake; it then switched games to Quake II, followed by another switch to Half-Life, before being spotted by Valve Software and released as a stand-alone retail product in 2000.
The full version of Gunman Chronicles fully ported to steam. Please read the full description!
I'm seriously grateful that you've provided this for us. Thanks a lot mate :)

How do you get this game to work? i have half life installed on steam i copied the folder into the half life directory and restarded steam then launched half life but starting a new game just starts half life not gunman chronicles.
I have the retail CD-ROM of this game, which has aroung 600 MB of data. I wonder where the 350 megs have gone?
The retail version was a standalone version, it didn't need the original half life to run. This one uses the halflife files from steam, and therefore the size is smaller.
It still works without steam version. But im already Purchased the Half Life 1 in Other version
This is very very very very very very very very very very very very very good !
Crashes every single time I get the big fat white boss on the meteor planet.
Is there any chance to get linux adapted version?
This includes the demo levels, right?
why's the mainframe model diferent?
uau. Gostei.. podia ter mais textura em HD
There is a HL port out there for the vita and even mods like blue shift or afraid of monsters run in the emulator. I have tried out gunman, it seems like it runs perfectly performance wise, but animations and scripts are bugged af. Can't get past the spaceship in the beginning, because the scripts are not found or something (checked debug mode). Is there a fix for this?
I never got credited for it but I orignally held up the discussion page on steam! I still have my physical copy of the game and always wanted to see it on steam, I am glad Marphy really went through with it and now everyone can enjoy my childhood!
Thanks for this! I was obsessed with this game when I was a kid, even though it kind of sucked. Cool to go back and play it, I have my original copy but no CDROM drive. Typed my CDkey into steam and it activated as Half Life Platinum lol.
Whenever I hit the new game button, it kicks me out of the game, can you help me?
absolutely amazing game
Segs
does this have the gunman demo between missions?
Seems like the game is broken after the last Half-Life patch. It just opens with a black screen and an "assertion failed" error message. Anyone know a fix?
For now you'll need to roll back your version of Half Life to the "steam_legacy" branch.
You can do this by right-clicking on Half-Life in your Steam library, click properties, betas, click the drop-down and select the appropriate branch.
It's fixed now, menu sounds needs a little refresh but besides that it's working just as well as before.
New Half-Life update has opened up a lot of possibilities with the restoration of the WON look. Was able to get intro working but the audio is screwy to work with and I have no clue what I'm doing.
