A new mod by rabidtoaster is the achievements mod. (Like in TF2)
You need to do things to gain achievements, like killing 100 Combine npc´s, or being killed by props 50 times. And there are achievements special for gamemodes, like zombie survival. This is completely clientside and works on almost any server. Updates are with SVN.

You need CSS for Gmod 10 also.
You don't need CSS for Gmod 10... i Gifted a friend HL2 and she was able to play Gmod without CSS.
This mod is cool though btw.
very true, CSS along with other source games are just useful to have in all, just like PHX model pack.
