What's going on this month in Galaxy Heist? Read below to find out.

So April has come and gone but what does this mean for Galaxy Heist? As far as gameplay goes, not a lot. If you remember from the update last month I talked about moving the game from UDK to UE4.

Well there is no point in rebuilding in a professional engine if you don’t have professional people to bring out the best qualities of the game. That was really the goal for this month as far as progress is concerned and in case you were wondering we far exceeded our goal.

Galaxy Heist now has a few committed programmers, a couple new modellers, VFX artist, Sound Designer(same one we’ve had actually he’s really good) and one of the best concept artists I’ve ever seen. Oh forgot to mention that I’m negotiating with an environment artist who made some of the environments for Battlefield 4.

As far as things to show in UE4 goes, we don’t have a lot yet but I plan on having some nice gameplay by the end of this month now that things are moving in the right direction. I could show you the initial stages of blocking out one of our maps

Or some of the basic C++ code that has been added

But nobody really wants to see that :)

However I’ll leave you with something that I’m very excited about. I’m working with our concept artist to build a little book of all our characters, ships, etc to give away for the kickstarter. We’re even talking about making prints of the work for the same purpose. Any way here is the finished Mercenary and the progress on our officer. Look for lots of new screenshots over the next month on our twitter page!

Looking good, nice art. And who doesn't love the idea of space FPS?!
