Full Metal Combat, is an isometric view action rpg shooter where you plays as one of 3 main characters. The game is set in a world were war became the answer to every international problem, so to stop the wars a city was designed and made to be a place of competition between nations to replace the wars and stop the deaths. Combat takes place between mech power suits in arenas where competitors compete in a range of mode from TDM to Base Deffence. The competitors also explore the city to find all manor of items and combat situations to gain competition points.

Progress Update and Kickstarter Live!!


Greetings:

Hello again every one, I am very happy to be talking to you all today because I am doing some thing I have really wanted to do for a long time now and that is to make a kickstarter for the game. I am really hoping that this works out and if it does it will start a hole new era for the Full Metal Game project.

Whats New Overview:

Since last update we have had a few additions to the District again. There is an all new building 'The Furnace' as well as a newly remodeled 'Dragon's Den'. We also have 2 new AAUs, the 'Slender Spider' and the 'Gargantuan Spider'.  They are a start to a new group of AAUs much like the Dragons and the Kwaku so expect to see a few more spiders in the future. Meshing about has also been working on a few new props and other art assets for the game but noting is finished yet. Finally the BIG news, I have launch a kickstarter for this project with the hope that I can raise enough money to make this a full time project and get things moving forward at a much faster rate.


The Furnace:

The Furnace is a building unique in District 1 because it is the only way to get to a part of the District. You must enter the building through one door and leave through another to exit in to the isolated part of the District but the catch is you door is blocked by a wall so you need to solve the puzzle of how to get to it, while being attacked by Hell hounds and Cerberus Jrs. 



New Dragons Den:

The Dragons Den building was the original house of the Dragon King but he has since moved to a tower building more suited to be the home of a true boss. This means the Dragons Den needed a remodeling and repurposing, which is exactly what it has gotten. The lay out has been changed a little and the art has been improved. The building is now also full of loot, ripe for the taking for those who have the skill to handle the hoards of Dragons. There also might be some thing special hiding in for those who can find it. 



More stuff from Meshing About:

Meshing about has been working on a variety of thing since the last update including modification to the Kronos deference cannons shown bellow, the back one is the newer of the two. He is also working on more clutter items but none of this is finished yet.


KICKSTARTER

Now on to the big news, I have been wanting to do this for a really long time but have just not had the time to organize it which is funny because the reason I am doing this is so I can have more time to work on the development of FMC. The link for the kickstarter is bellow and has a tone of information about the hole thing and of course all the rewards for donating money to the project. The long and the short of it is that I am trying to raise enough money that I am others can work on this game full time and really see it move forward at a pace that would other wise be impossible. actually I have bunch of questions regarding this game

1: is mod support on the "to do" list and if it is will you release modding tools ?

2:I may sound sarcastic asking this but will there be actual animations added to player models and mobs later on ?

3: how does the progression system would work ?

Thanks for the questions.

1: Yes it most defiantly is and the modding tools will be a part of the game it self, I have not made the menus for it but at some point there will be a button that says mod and from there you will be able to load/create mods for the game.

2: Yes I will be adding animations to the characters but with the exception of the couple art assets my friend is making I am doing the art and am a programmer so the modding tools will probably show up before the animations do.

3: The skill progression works by you do some thing to unlock the skill then the more you use it the for points go to it and it levels up. The character progression has only 5 levels E-A and to move up levels you must fight the other competitors (fighting AAUs only gives you loot and skill points) and it is important to note that if you loose repeatedly then you can go down a rank. Different ranks unlock new Districts and rig item that will make you stronger. There is not strength stats or any thing to level like in a traditional RPG so your power comes from the items you find and how good of a shot you are.

I love role playing games and the ability to customize my character and level up. It would be really fun on a large environment with mechs...
