You've patched in to the enemy's security system: get ready to make your plan. Frozen Synapse is the ultimate strategy game: you have full control over your strike team, directing their every movement. At the same time, your opponent is plotting to defeat you. Plan your moves, then hit the "Execute" button: both you and your enemy's turns are executed simultaneously. Bite-size, hardcore strategy with a striking sci-fi aesthetic.

Yep, it is a concept, but we'll try and make the actual menu look as good as this - should definitely be possible to recreate all of it - boring GUI coding for Ian to do!

I like it, but I think it would look cooler with a little bit of transparency or some kind of shine.

Just an opinion, though.

Yeah, I understand why you think that - we did try semi-transparent menus recently and they were ok - we need to see how that interacts with the background we're going to use. Basically, I'm not opposed to that but we just need to see how it pans out.

The most important things with menus seem to be clarity and usability, really, and I think we may have cracked that with this. We'll see. Apparently asset-cutting-up is now happening, so they should be usable soon.

You guys really like blue huh ;)
Maybe just lightly desaturate everything that isn't a button/ is background. For instance.
