Releasing an Alpha is an exciting time (albeit a bit scary), we are at a crossroad of shared visions, putting our baby into your hands, so that you can help us shape it into the product YOU want!

We would really like to get as much feedback as possible on every aspect of the game, to make it the best multiplayer turn based strategy experience, and that will only be possible with a solid community! What should I know about the Alpha?:

We're not gonna lie to you, this is not a finished product, and as an Alpha, you will encounter bugs. But the core mechanics are there and Fray is updated weekly to make the player experience as enjoyable as possible.

In the game, there are currently:

2 Maps
The 6 classes
Over 15 Weapons and Equipments
2 Corporations

What's to come:

Better class and weapon balance,
Effects and Trail Shots,
Sound Design,
4 player games (FFA and Team games),
Redesign of the maps to enhance fight speeds,

At first when FRAY cam out of the ground I was like " mehh " . But now this looks very good - way too good . Looks like a game I WOULD DEFINITELY PLAY !

Hey guys Im just wondering, will I be able to get a Steam key from you when you release the game on Steam? (if you plan to do so which I would love cause i want to add it to my collection :3)
Cause thats the only thing holding me back from pre-ordering :3
And one more thing. will there be a single player campaign of some sort to help players familiarize themselves with each component of the game progressively? :3

So, if Steam works like Desura, then yes, absolutely, we will be able to match our CD Key database with theirs. I heard Frozen Synapse did it so I don't see why not. Of course that pends on Steam accepting us there!
For the single player, there won't be a campaign. There will be a single player scenario that will act as a tutorial to guide players through their first steps though. But that is unavailable at this time, as we focus on gameplay and polish.

Hope that doesn't stop you from joining! Everyone is learning the game at this point, and it's all fun and games! So it's the perfect time to join!
