A good reference pic.
I like what you've done with the color change. It makes him seem less like the Slenderman, if people dare call him that still. I'm a bit worried they might start combining ideas with that and G-Man, as many have referenced G-Man already. Might just be the brightness of the suit in the promo though.

I'm probably gonna restart drawing this "Soulrender" of yours. Hell, I'll do the Anomalies too. Your community on Steam lacks artists. A little disappointing, but hopefully I can get some sort of a start to it.

Thank you for the feedback!

It would be awesome to get more fan content on the steam community forums (even though the game is not out yet) I look forward to seeing what you make and that of the rest of the community in the future.

We definitely appreciate the feedback! It was artwork from people like yourself that led to us setting up a DeviantArt group page, sadly that didn't remain active enough to a point that we've stopped supporting it for the time being, but we always appreciate artwork made by strong fans like yourself, and I personally can't wait to see what you bring to the table in that regard!

Just asking, but why did you choose blue among all colors to replace the black suit of The Being? Is there some significance of this color to the entity or the setting of the story? Either way, it now looks "cooler" B)

The idea came to me late one night, I wasn't sure exactly why I felt it would be more fitting. I was looking at pictures of blue suits and on another day I was looking at pictures of blue grass and trees/flowers and I strongly liked it.

When I imagined how it might look in my head to have a blue suit, but leaving the tie, shoes and tendrils black, it looks really nice. That was only strengthened when we had changed the texture itself and looked at how the model appeared, and so it just came to be that The Being now officially has a blue suit.

One of the original reasons was of course to try and distance us further from the 'Slender Man' - Sadly since we started out as such, the story I'd developed for The Being just really suited the appearance our Being had, the alienic/deformed and twitching paranormal entity in a suit, so we wanted to find out other ways to differentiate it from its earlier appearances, and this is the first, and possibly only major change.

I see. I'm glad that you are moving away from the standard Slenderman formula while still retaining it's features quite a bit, the whole premise of Slenderman is now getting boring in my opinion. Good thing you didn't change The Being's tie to red, because if you did, then might as well add some spiky hair as it'll look like a mutated Phoenix Wright with bloody tentacles XD

Anyway, good luck with this project! Can't wait for the major update! :D

Well despite some similarities in the appearance, if you check out The Being's page on the Faceless Wikia, you can read up on a lot more differences in relation to the story/lore and abilities. (http://facelessgame.wikia.com/wiki/The_Being)

Thanks again for your comments, we can't wait to show you all the major update also!

I do have one question. Will the tentacles be visible at all times in game? Because I feel that having dynamic tentacles that come out at random would be better than static ones that just kinda stick out.

Also, I like the "spidery" look. However I believe they should be protruding randomly. Not that this is bad or anything, it looks great! But perhaps adjust the size and shape of the tentacles and have them dynamically change form in game. Much like in the "Abandon All" picture.

For The Being, they're called tendrils, and no, they won't be visible at all times. They only emerge when The Being becomes more aggressive. That's based on how far you progress in the multiplayer gamemode.

The "Abandon All" picture is definitely part of how we want it to look, an early idea was that smoke would emit along with the tendrils, and that's still in discussion, this would allow for us to closer achieve the "Abandon All" look. It's likely those can change in shape and size, but the fixed tendrils themselves will mostly remain the shame shape and size, but they will never be static, always moving in order to get a sense of its surroundings.

The Being now dons a dark blue suit. (It looks brighter in this promotional image.) The tie and shoes remain black. The tendrils have also been given a slightly red tinge.
