You play as Shaun Randall... after your time in the military, you lived a quiet, maybe a bit boring life. You worked as an office employee in a preserved food facility, your payment was good enough for you, your son Mike and your attractive but ordinary wife Kelly. One day, you wanted to go to work, but a Taxi knocked you down. You survived the accident but you`ve lost your legs. They where petrified forever. You would be bound to a wheelchair for the rest of you`re entire life. You`ve been assigned to a mental hospital after you`re first try to kill yourself. One of the Therapists, Doctor Van Wargen, had understanding and compassion for you. He gave you an Injection that killed you. You`ve been euthanised. The Doctor did everything necessary so It would look like a suicide. Patient Shaun Randall: Suicide - Died 21 January 1965 In that sleep of death...what dreams may come?

Quote: "“Dreams are illustrations... from the book your soul is writing about you.”"

That quote doesn't quiet fit the storyline but its nice anyway.

Some of you who happen to be active on thegamecreators forums might remember that I wanted to explain the new storyline? Well...I
still want to do that as I have 2 Catathrenia updates on the to-do list
for this week. (yes! I have a to do list now). This also includes 3
conceptual drawings for this project. So all of this will happen later. For now, its a much smaller update.

Well, someone on this planet might have red my outcry review on my
blog...and if you did, I stated that some clam should do a "moving" game
in an old-footag-grainy movie style (instead of a boring slideshow).
Why not being that clam? I think the style works very well with the
game's ambitions. Make up your own opinion on some images:

(Remember that you can also play this game in prestine black and white)

Wow, this looks interesting! The environment reminds me of Amnesia: The Dark Descent, but good job so far!

I find this comment specifically interesting! You are the first person who isn't completely ...bipolar in terms of videogame engines. Everybody else just has "MAJOR STUDIO BIG TOOL" or "CRAP". Nobody seems to have any use or regard for a simple hobbyist engine. Well! Kudos to you for having a brain...I guess :P

My pleasure and thank you. Each has it's inherent strengths and weaknesses and can produce some great material. As with any artistic medium, the artist simply chooses which will allow him/her to most accurately produce their vision. I've never worked with this one myself, but it has some fine attributes. Success to you !
