Run Setup.exe in your Plunder & Pillage directory (C:\plunder) first.
You can do this by going to the start menu and selcting RUN and typing in the following: C:\plunder\setup.exe

Setup your graphics and sounds.
Be sure to select the highest graphics mode your computer will allow. Usually 'Vesa 800 X 600'.
After you have setup everything, select Save and launch Plunder&Pill.

Whenever you wish to play Plunder & Pillage again, go to the start menu and go to RUN and type the following 'C:\plunder\pirate.exe'

SOUND PROBLEMS

if you're not sure what your card's settings are, open a DOS prompt
(Start Menu - Programs - Accessories - MS DOS) then at the prompt
type the word: SET

Look for a line that starts with the word BLASTER.

BLASTER=A is the address, I is the IRQ, and D is the DMA.
Therefore, if the line reads: BLASTER=A220 I5 D1 T4,
your card uses addres 0x220, IRQ 5, and DMA 1.

When selecting your soundcard you will most likely want to use
Sound Blaster. Try different Sound Blaster types by
selecting Change Sound Card Type.

PROBLEMS IN WINDOWS XP

For users running Windows XP:
You MUST right click on the main exe in your Plunder & Pillage directory, c:\plunder\pirate.exe and select Properties and then under
Compatibility, run in compatibility mode for windows 95 or windows 98.
You must do this in order for Plunder & Pillage to work under Windows XP

Usermaps:
To play a usermap for Plunder & Pillage,
make sure the usermap is in the Plunder & Pillage directory.
Run the program Setup.exe in the Plunder & Pillage directory.
In Setup, scroll down to 'Select User Level' and select the usermap
that you wish to play. After making your selection, scroll down to
'Save and launch Plunder&Pill'
