Hey, guys. I'd like to point out that Map 3 (Skyward) can heavily affect your FPS with major frame drops. I ran a test with GZDoom (without RoP and with RoP).
Comparison (using GZDoom):
Vanilla Doom - 180-220 FPS.
Relics of Power - 150-160 FPS.
Relics of Power (Map 3) - 90-100 FPS.
I recommend using other source ports such as Crispy Doom, PrBoom+ or Doom Retro (except for LZDoom since the same problem occurs) so it would be smooth.
I'm using LZDoom and it worked fine so far up to the end of Map 3.
I guess your computer was good enough to handle the outdoor area of Map 3 or maybe because LZDoom runs Map 3 smoother than how GZDoom does.
I used my old laptop to test it (again) and the results went bad.
The first 2 maps were ran with an average of 30 FPS.
However... The 3rd map was ran with an average of 5-10 FPS (in the outdoor area), making it literally unplayable.
Until I tested it with Doom Retro. It ran all of the maps smoothly.
I prefer to use LZDoom anyway than the latest GZDoom engine and I'm also using a laptop, it can fortunately handle NUTS.wad smoothly without mods.
