The No HUD Riptide mod removes most of the things that you see on your screen like the health bars, stamina bars, and even the radar. This mod aims to give you as close to the real feel of "being there" visually during a zombie apocalypse in the world of Dead Island Riptide.

I. What is the No HUD Riptide mod?
The No HUD Riptide mod removes most of the things that you see on your screen like the health bars, stamina bars, and even the radar. This mod aims to give you as close to the real feel of "being there" visually during a zombie apocalypse in the world of Dead Island Riptide.
II. Installation:
* You must have WinRAR or WinZIP to "extract" the RAR file. *
- Go to My Documents\Riptide\out\Data folder. Make the Data folder if you don't have it yet.
- Place DIR_NoHUDRiptideV2.rar inside the Data folder and extract it.
- You will see two new files in the Data folder:
DIR_NoHUDv2.rar - this completely removes the HUD with only a few necessary parts remaining.
DIR_RadarOnlyHUDV2.rar - this removes the health bar, stamina bar, certain icons, and only leaves you with a radar so you won't get lost.
- For this example, let's choose DIR_NoHUDv2.rar. Right click on this file and choose to extract.
- A new folder called menu that contains a hud folder and an important file will be created in the Data folder.
- We're done, it's time to play the game!
* To use another version of this mod, simply extract the other file in the Data folder and choose to Replace or Overwrite the file when asked.
* To disable this mod, simply delete the menu folder that was created in the Data folder.
Direct DataPak0.pak Installation:
- First, choose which version of the No HUD Riptide mod you want to choose and extract the file.
- After extracting, go inside the folder that was created called menu->hud.
- You'll see that it has a HUD.xui file inside.
- Next, go to Dead Island\Riptide\DI folder.
- Make a back-up copy of Data0.pak and name is something like Data0Original.pak.
- Open Data0.pak with a program called 7zip or something else.
- Go into the Data\menu\hud folder.
- Drag the HUD.xui file that you extracted from earlier and replace the one inside the pak file.
- Close the pak file after replacing the HUD.xui file and enjoy playing the game!
III. Current Features
- Comes in two versions, Completely No HUD and Radar Only.
IV. Recommendations
This mod is best used with the George Romero Mod V6, V7 and higher, made by me, Adeno. Of course, you can also use this with other mods that you may find.
V. Troubleshooting
1. I want to disable this mod, how do I do it?
Solution:
Simply delete the folder called menu in My Documents\Riptide\out\Data folder.
If you installed this mod directly into the Data0.pak file inside the Dead Island Riptide\DI folder, then just delete that file and rename your back-up (making back-ups is important!) from Data0Original.pak to Data0.pak.
problem with not being able to run still exists used the mod in romero v7 option with map, no other mods installed. i uninstalled the hud mod and i could run, so definitely hud mod that prevents running.
Hi! I just tested the No HUD Riptide with Radar mod V2 right now and I can run just fine. Are you also using the original Data0.pak file in Dead Island Riptide\DI folder? Here's a video of the test I just performed a few minutes ago showing the run function working properly with the radar: Youtube.com
If you want, you put your My Documents\Riptide\out folder in a zip or rar file and upload it to a site like Mediafire so I can download it and try it out for myself and see if I can reproduce your problem. Just use my youtube pm to send me the link.
I am Sorry :) THIS DOES work!!!!
It was my version of Dead Island Riptide that caused the problems had to reinstall now all runs like it should.
