Oh! Didn’t see you there. Come in and stay for some juicy updates.
We worked hard on graphics and the menu again. The main focus for graphics is still the outer area of the cargo ship. There has been some nice progress on it. For the menu the main menu is basically done (Also we needed to change a large amount of code… again :D).
Last week we showed you the first draft of the deck of the cargo ship. It was all pretty ruff and we sat down to add more details. So have a look at this screen from last week:

As you can see we added a whole new front part for the ship (there was none in first place but yeah…).We also changed the top of the command center from:
To be honest with you, we probably will change some of this again (especially the bow). We take a lot of inspirations from real world cargo transporters (Which are huge and packed with details) and we want to make sure you really feel like you’re on a big ship. So we will continue to work on the outer area until we really happy with it.
As said we basically finished the main menu. This will be your start screen where you can choose between the sub menus. All that misses is the HUD which will display summarized information about your current status. The whole menu is also animated. When you enter the menu you get small fade-in animations for lots of the menu elements or some elements might stay on the screen for the sub menus. These are of course short so you can access the menu fast. Next week we can probably show the first in-game screen!
