You awaken aboard a caffeine mining space station to find yourself, a young boy seemingly all alone. The only thing you know for sure? Something bad has transpired here... Confused and alone, you start to explore this seemingly derelict space station finding cryptic notes and messages everywhere you look, could these be clues to what has happened?" First and foremost Caffeine is a Sci-Fi Horror Adventure game which takes inspiration from FEAR, Condemned and Doom 3.

This is a short demo and utilizes Unreal Engine 3 please download and share your thoughts on here.

I would like to also add this awesome video of Caffeine running on Unreal Engine 4!

Isn't it amazing? I have so much fun with U4 and the metal shader and roughness node, too ^^ Lights just look instanty awesome!

Same here. One thing I'd do is create another floor, as it looks good in the hallways but becomes very repetitive after a while. The big room(s) should have their own floors to prevent the walls from looking like they are just planted on top and no real unit with the floors.

Could work some on specular maps. It would greatly improve the atmosphere of the station. Right now it looks unused. All these pipes and vents surely get some wear + leaking. It's hard, because a space station is a very clean place, but we have to try make it look less perfect, more real.

This game should be on the next "featured by unreal" video, and yes, I agree: the new material nodes are kickass, UE4 is way too awesome.

Great suggestions...I like the pipe suggestion. A little steam or water dripping would definitely help with building tension.

Thought i would let you know ;)

Beautiful game! Loved how you created so much tension with the drop into the water, it really creates a sense of vulnerablility. If you don't mind me asking, did you create any of the audio yourself?

I also did a lets play of this: Youtube.com

Most of the audio effects were free with an attribution license, and the music was composed specifically for this by the wonderful Bay Drive Sound Studios. Thanks for the kind words!
