The on-going space voxel project by the six sibling studio, ZanMgt! A labor of love, Blockade Runner is an ever-evolving development that's currently undergoing a major engine overhaul to provide a solid foundation for the game's bi-weekly builds. We've found the bi-weekly builds to be an enjoyable and healthy development cycle and are anxiously preparing the game for their return!

Description

Made by Rohen, using Blockade Runner's Editor!

"The Glador is an Anti-Fighter/Bomber - Craft.
The series follows a Monowing design, that offers a small profile, thus makes the Glador series craft a challenging target from the sides/front/aft.

Mark 1:

The MK I is equiped with 4 X-Guns and 2 Siege-Cannons.
Test-FLights showed that the position of the cocpit limits the visibility of the pilot. As this could mean that the pilot may loose sight of a fast moving target the cocpit was given priority in the design of the next variant.
In fast turns the 2 Siege-Cannons could scrape the hull of the MK I so they were exchanged in the MK II as well.

Mark 2:

The MK II did receive overall better armor than the MK I. The hull around the Cocpit wa shortened and to further improve visibility the floor section was made transparent as well.
Carrying only the 6 X-Guns the MK II could turn as fast as she wanted without the danger of hitting herself.

Mark 3:

The MK III is just a slight modification of the MK II. The armament was reduced to 4 X.Guns and they were placed closer to the cocpit to improve aiming.
Test with the MK II had shown that good aiming was required with the relativly slow firing X-Guns.

Mark 4:

The MK IV introduced a shortened hull design. The wingtips were shortened as well as the main hull next to the cocpit to further increase visibility.
The MK IV replaced the X-Guns with Siege-Cannons to double its fire power.
This version has not yet been tested but it may scorch its own cocpit when firing in hard turns.
