Even after doing everything as instructed, I still can't play Battle for Middle-earth II. I'm using Windows 10 on an Acer Aspire V7 with a 64-bit processor. The game flashes up the splash screen as normal, then goes to black as if it were about to begin the opening videos, then immediately closes, and I get the "Windows is looking for solutions" pop-up.

I tried running the program as administrator. Same thing happened. I tried running in Compatibility Mode (XP Service Pack 2 and 3), and it failed to even recognize that there was a disk, asking me to insert the correct CD-ROM and restart.

I tried running in Compatibility Mode (Vista, 7, and 8), and it went back to the original issue.

the addon or main game? If you want to play the addon you need to disable the main-game game patch. Sorry but this will happen if mod teams dont work together or dont allow other to use their code ;)

the main problem of the start-crash are the config files:
1. Registry:
"HKLM\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Electronic Arts\Electronic Arts\The Battle for Middle-earth II"
edit "UserDataLeafName" to "My Battle for Middle-earth(tm) II Files".

"HKLM\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Electronic Arts\Electronic Arts\The Lord of the Rings, The Rise of the Witch-king"
edit "UserDataLeafName" to "My The Lord of the Rings, The Rise of the Witch-king Files".

2. Copy the two Folders from "1" (from zip file) to your "USER/AppData/Roaming" folder.

but all this should make the cmd... anyone the same problem?

Trying to launch ROWK, I get the following error:

Expected signed integer value, math op, or predefined macro, but found 'MORDOR_FORTRESS_WALLHUB_EXPANSION_BUILDCOST'

Error parsing field 'BuildCost' in block 'Object' in file 'data\ini\object\evilfaction\structures\mordor\mordorcastlewallhubexpansion.ini', line 219

I'm on Windows 10. I have tried with the 2.02 patch enabled and disabled.

Hope you can help
