Players explore this volatile world with Force Recon Razor Team, part of a US Marine Corps Expeditionary Unit. The 27th MEU are deployed to Northern Chernarus on a peacekeeping mission with a mandate to prevent further civilian casualties and promote political stability. ARMA 2 is based on the latest generation technology. It offers a uniquely vast game world, authentic and extremely detailed modern units, weapons, vehicles and environments. The branching, player-driven campaign can be played solo, or cooperatively and is accompanied by a huge range of single and multiplayer game modes. ARMA 2 is a hardcore military simulator that allows the player to carry out the many different roles of a soldier in combat zones. Its campaign takes place in the 225 square-kilometre fictional ex-soviet state of Chernarus where a bloody conflict is taking place.

BIS informed us about the new upcoming patch 1.03. The patch is still WIP and there is also no publishing date known. This is a preliminarily list, changes are absolutely possible!

The patch is still WIP and there is also no publishing date known.

Here is the current changelog for 1.03:

  • Improved airplane HUD visibility.
  • Direct analogue throttle and brake for airplanes now available.
  • Optimization: Reduced frame stutter near map borders.
  • Sea surface was not rendered in NE area out of map.
  • Terrain surface was sometimes using wrong parallax map.
  • Grenade can destroy a building just by impact
  • Radio echo elimination
  • Team switch did not work when player died
  • More flexible configuration of Flares in the config (brightness, size)
  • Reduced AI detecting slowly moving enemy vehicles by ear.
  • Prevent killed units reporting who killed them.

This is a preliminarily list, changes are absolutely possible.

bout damn time. Needs some serious surgical patches to fix it up.
