is this possible ?

I want put some of my ModDb Videos on YouTube, but find it unnecessary to re upload every one.
I think YouTube allows uploading from Link. How can i access the direct Video Link ?

More Questions to Video:
How is it with the Quality ?
How can i prevent re-encoding, can i increase Quality ?
My Videos got lots of ugly Tearing

Well bringing videos from flv into anything is just bad as is. To get the best quality out of online videos you need to upload the original. The ModDB video streamer has been tailor made to get the best quality as possible, the only trick is that you need to render the videos in order for them to look great online. Sure your 500gb quicktime trailer looks sweet as but 500gb is 500gb. Youtube on the other hand compresses the files so much that the quality is almost lost completely. One way to get around this is to create a video file espicaly for youtube. So keeping the filesize low, the resloution the same size as youtube and giving it mp3 audio will get you the best results. Unfortunitly you cant access the direct links aside from the embedding link.

I'll need more info to help with your tearing.

I know the rules for good Quality Videos on YouTube.

Unfortunately the Tutorial is down..

I was interested in ModDB Video Format. I guess its different. Quality is indeed better than YouTube, what they try to offer.
My own Videos have a strong Tearing when watching on ModDB (After automatic re-encoding)
Looks like there is a Keyframe every 3 Second, everything in motion smears heavily.
Source Video is Recorded directly in Game @ 512x384 / 25fps, compressed to DivX with 'Fastest' render setting, 1-Pass Quality Based '1'
This Leaves a few Artifacts, but the Picture Quality is totally OK.

The Result after uploading this File is totally Worse.

Take a quick Look at this Example:
Moddb.com

What Format can anyone suggest to pre-encode Videos before uploading on ModDb ?

More Question: How embed Videos from MDB with 'insert / edit embedded Media' Feature in Forum Message Editor ?

Well I make all the ModDB videos here, and I use H.264 and a ACC codec. Both are custom with only 1 pass on the audio. The video player has been tailored to get the best results from the H.264 codec. If you want to embed the video you need to add the code either in the html editor or add the embed code in the video insert page.

Maybe you could try once xVid instead of DivX. I did my videos in xVid and did not get tearing. xVid is an off-spin of DivX and has some differences which could make a difference.

@Video-Format:
I have no possibilities to encode to H.264.
However i think in every Case the Result would be Worse due the Double-Re-Encoding
Do you think the Result as showed is acceptable ?

I repeat: Source Quality is almost clear.

@ Video-embedding:
Of Course, but which URL do i add to embed a Video with this Feature ?

Dont try to tell me i cannot Embed a Video in a Forum Post which i uploaded to ModDB.
That simply... is ...well stupid..

Thanks

The URL to embed any video (or image) on our site is located on the right hand side of any media gallery page under the heading "Options".

Oops, Codec Packs are Evil. They are not good.
If you have a System running, able to Playback any (Video) File. Better dont touch it.
I prefer having low Quality on my Mod DB Videos.

Could you tell me one thing: What Resolution do MD Videos have ?
I could guess, but its not that easy. Looks like 480x360 or 320xSomething

ahahah ok mate, if that is how you feel. I think u mean moddb. You can upload any file size, the site design only allows a smaller view port atm. But if you link the video off to another site you can increase the size as much as you want. Just edit the url to suit.

it really does not make that much of a difference, the videos i make are all in 640x480, and thats normal for internet videos.
