Well bringing videos from flv into anything is just bad as is. To get the best quality out of online videos you need to upload the original. The ModDB video streamer has been tailor made to get the best quality as possible, the only trick is that you need to render the videos in order for them to look great online. Sure your 500gb quicktime trailer looks sweet as but 500gb is 500gb. Youtube on the other hand compresses the files so much that the quality is almost lost completely. One way to get around this is to create a video file espicaly for youtube. So keeping the filesize low, the resloution the same size as youtube and giving it mp3 audio will get you the best results. Unfortunitly you cant access the direct links aside from the embedding link. I'll need more info to help with your tearing. --

I know the rules for good Quality Videos on YouTube. Unfortunately the Tutorial is down.. I was interested in ModDB Video Format. I guess its different. Quality is indeed better than YouTube, what they try to offer. The Result after uploading this File is totally Worse. Take a quick Look at this Example: What Format can anyone suggest to pre-encode Videos before uploading on ModDb ? Well I make all the ModDB videos here, and I use H.264 and a ACC codec. Both are custom with only 1 pass on the audio. The video player has been tailored to get the best results from the H.264 codec. If you want to embed the video you need to add the code either in the html editor or add the embed code in the video insert page. --

Maybe you could try once xVid instead of DivX. I did my videos in xVid and did not get tearing. xVid is an off-spin of DivX and has some differences which could make a difference. |

The URL to embed any video (or image) on our site is located on the right hand side of any media gallery page under the heading "Options". |

ahahah ok mate, if that is how you feel. I think u mean moddb. You can upload any file size, the site design only allows a smaller view port atm. But if you link the video off to another site you can increase the size as much as you want. Just edit the url to suit. --

it really does not make that much of a difference, the videos i make are all in 640x480, and thats normal for internet videos. --
