When you delete a thread, people can still see the subject, so if it contains an url, they're still advertising their suspicious site.

Just a FYI. I did say something about this before.

What's up with all the spam on ModdB lately? Somebody must have discovered the site for advertisement...

I always have the same problem on our forums, but we set up a hidden section from the start and only authorised members can see it. Perhaps ModdB Members should see different sections than guests. Even though anybody can become a member, you could still ratify each one, either by having someone from ModdB warrant for their fellow (true Mafia-Style, deserters will be put to sleep with concrete shoes); or you could make sure only long-term members see the "important" sections like development banter, etc. If a newb would want an invitation to see those, he'd have to get authorisation from a long-term member first (and only once!).

These advertisments piss me off on my own website and forum, too. I hope you'll find a way to get rid of those, as they are always overflooding old threads and make new threads on the fly. Really sick that we can't have one place in the world without advertisment screwing and spamming everything up...
