Writer, Looking For Work | Locked | |

G'day, as the thread title suggests, I'm a writer, and I'm looking for work. I've been involved in the mod community for about two years, though I've only managed to be a writer for two or three (failed, sadly) projects. That being said, my experiences have challenged (and as a result) matured me as a writer, and as a result, if your game is missing believable characters, an interesting plot, and creative dialogue, I believe I am well served to create all three. I'm not biased towards any one genre, enjoying the creative challenge that comes going beyond what is comfortable as a writer, and I accept jobs whether they are small or big. I'm not picky at all, I'm just happy to write! If you'd like an example of my work, please PM me, and I'll send it promptly. Thank you so much if you bothered to read all this, I look forward to hearing from anyone interested |

Never been in a good mod, no examples (No, asking through PM does not count, ever.), and no degree. |

Alright iinSane, I'll add you on skype if that's alright And feather, although I don't think those points are good proof that I 'sound like an ideas guy', I'm not gonna continue this conversation, I don't want to be drawn into one of those arguments. |

You just sound that way to me. I could be wrong. |

I came here to recommend Squidwink. I worked with him before, and he is a great leader and a great writer. He has great ideas, and communication skills, along with activity. I believe he can fit any setting and he can get the job done. He is a very good guy. |

I don't think anyone would join a mod that will failed, the thing is you don't know how each mod will end so if he is unfortunate to joined 3 mods that didn't make it, it is really not his fault. And of course it is irrelevant to his skills. I think the best example is through PM, when the writer is given the specific requirements and he/she can fulfill the task, it is much valuable then something he wrote with no constraint, plus I rather see a good self intro post then a page of text as example. Degree for what? you don't need a degree to write interesting story. Most of the people is learning how to make games, or is volunteering probably don't even have a proper education other than google and youtube. -- ===================Signature====================== |

I'm seconding johnnys recommendation of squidwink, and johnny is a man that knows what he's talking about. His past involvement on projects failed, like most on modDB, due to lack of and/or poor organization and leadership, not bad writing, and past projects that fail do not reflect ones own personal ability as an artist, regardless of medium. Hes a team player, take him. |
