My name is Sean O'Sullivan and I am interested in a writing role.
A little about myself, I am going into my Second Year of Computer Science and have been writing in my spare time for about a year now.
I have also been working at SlimGamer.com for almost two years, reviewing video games and writing opinion pieces.
I am primarily interested in fantasy and Sci-Fi but will be comfortable in any genre.
You can find examples of my writing at the link below, The Black Queen and Remember Sunnyvale tabs would be my strongest examples.

I am looking forward to working with a committed team, as development in my last few projects haven't faired well.
Please email me at: sully789@gmail.com if you are interested, thank you for your time.

Why are you looking for a writing role, when your background is in programming?
Your likely going to find more opportunities as such.

But sure I'll send you an email.

Also "hire" suggests you would like to be paid, are you only considering paid roles, or unpaid as well?
(yes, ofc, we'd all like to be paid, but the world isn't that simple)

Have you considered using Twine to prototype game scripts? It's an extra skill to learn (albeit quite a simple one), but I find it's a great way to test, experiment and debug dialog trees. An imperfect tool for sure, but a very useful one.

It's a constant struggle to write and read game scripts in plain text. Very hard to get a sense of flow or rhythm.

I feel like my programming skills are very general and basic, I have only explored a bit of game code in my spare time. I'm better at writing stories then writing code, at the time being at least.

Replied.

Looking for paid and unpaid. Obviously preferred paid!

I've used Chatmapper, I've heard it's similar to Twine? Included a Chatmapper file in my portfolio and added it to my first post, thanks for the heads up.

They're similar beasts. Chatmapper is much more focused on games and so gives you a richer toolkit - I know a dev team who are using it. Twine is much more general purposes, but it has the strength of being able to output as a HTML file, so there's no lock-in. Anyone can just 'play' a script, which I've found to be really useful.

Still, its great that you have access to a better tool than a word processor =)
