Hi! I have a little question, since there are a lot of experience modders and modding teams, I wanted to ask if any of you maybe know what would be the best CMS for a website to use? A simple website where updates and pictures are put on for followers of the mod to look at, my idea is kind of wordpress... What do you think is the best one for that kind of site?, I do not want to pay for big hosting for CMS that is not needed for that kind of idea so I wanna save up the money to prevent loosing it for a space.
Thanks!

I think that for those purposes, a blog CMS such as Wordpress is probably a good match.

There are some sites that offer free PHP-enabled hosting that can support a CMS, with the usual free hosting caveats (possibly less reliable, etc.).

If you do want to look at some more popular CMS software that is also free, e107 and Drupal are both open source software and have a wide range of plugins, but both are harder to set up and use than Wordpress IMO, and aren't really needed unless you're going for a full mod website feel instead of just a development blog.

I use Wordpress for all my sites, and I've done many. I also use a free webhost that allows PHP and mySQL functionality, so I installed a phpBB forum on one of my sites as well. Here are the sites I currently run:

Drupal and Joomla, I stay away from Wordpress as my wife and I have had nothing but problems with it. Its API is one of the worst we have seen and tried to work with.

I'd +1 Joomla, though it does take some getting used to.

I must agree on that, Wordpress is simple and easy to use. Never had real trouble with it. Joomla is a great one aswell!
