I read somewhere that you can use it for Rogue Squadron, but I was curious if there were any other uses.

P.S. No, this controller hasn't been modded or cracked in any shape or form.

I was under the impression it would just be picked up as a generic USB gamepad?

Tried to use it with a Source game, didn't seem to notice. Will see if any other games will recognize it as a game pad.

I used it with Motionjoy too. Unfortunately these days, most games only support xinput gamepads, like the Xbox360 controller. Motionjoy lets you make the Dualshock emulate a 360 controller, and thus use it in most games. Unfortunately, like razorb said, Motionjoy is buggy and unstable. There is another 360 emulator out there (x360ce), but it requires manually placing DLLs in each game directory. The way Motionjoy does it is much better - it installs a virtual 360 controller that works system wide. It would be awesome if x360ce would work system wide as well.

I use something called Xpadder, it makes my PS3 controller my mouse. :D
also it is quite impossible (at least for me) to use it on Windows 7. (Libusb doesnt have a windows seven 64-bit version yet, thats why)
although my after-glow usb ps3 controller comes up as ajoystick on my computer.
also, why do we say on my computer instead of in my computer?

Because we do.
