hmm.. i know its a nice peice of tech, and looks pretty good but honestly, i don't like how it all looks overal.. May just be how the artists made it, but i feel all the shots almost look.. plastic like or rubbery.. Good but.. bad at the same time. |

Well, the Unreal Engine is used for Unreal Tournament and regular Unreal, but a lot of other companies license it out as well, obviously -- "He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster." |

It looks like Rubber because your not use to the great technology. You sux0rz!!! |

Not to mention Doom 3 had somewhat similar styles, although Unreal 3 will be able to handle a hell of a lot more For everything else, including more screenshots, visit here: Unrealtechnology.com Edited by: Karuto -- "He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster." |

ya well, the rubber look is not good to me. It's not a matter of realism, it just doesnt look good. Seems like they use too much specular highlighting with it or something. Makes everything all glossed over a bit too much and brings about the rubbery plastic look.. Need to get rid of that. |

We'll have to wait and see, Cory. It might not be as tough as you think I'm sure it'd be fun to map -- "He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster." |

I don't really care about graphics. You can have a beautiful engine, but.. Regarding point 1.. just look at Uplink, or Soldat. Both of those games don't have great, or good graphics. But the have the atmosphere and gameplay. That's why I can't see why you people get excited by graphics so much. Sure, it's pretty and so, but it's not a reason to get all "HOLY OMG WTF R0X0RS YOUR B0X0RS GREATNESS" (unless that was sarcasm). Just my standpoint though; I'm a maniac of old games, I don't really pay attention to the graphics. /me out |

Actually, it'll be a month est. to complete a completed, hi poly, normal mapped player model for such engine, no matter what the engine is, it just supports normal mapped models. -- < insert subject games here >

They've stated their aiming for standard computers in late 2005 and 2006. So 64-bit machines running at 4-5GHz and video cards with possibly a gig of video memory. |

intel recently announced they were cancelling 4ghz pentium 4s so i guess we'll have to wait for 5s? |
