I'm currently looking for a good reliable ISP now we've got Broadband available in our area. Should have unlimited usage and at least 512K. Any help is appreciated :)

If you get BT in your area, I'd say go with them. We're on the 2mb/s (about $30/mo iirc), but the standard is a 1mb/s for something like £20/mo

Nice and solid, I think the cap is 30gb/mo (No worries, you're not gonna hit it :D)

Lucky damn you, cheap arse broadband you have in the UK. We pay about 25 of your english pounds for a 256Kb ADSL connection with a 10GB limit.

I wouldn't mind being on Bigpond cause they get live streaming AFL and V8 supercars rounds. Bigpond is expensive though.

How can they call it an 'unlimited plan' if there's a 12gb limit =/ .

Sue them for false advertising :P.

uh uh see thats where they get ya :P you have 12gb where theres basically unlimited speed once you go over that you get capped down to a disgraceful 28.8kb BUT can still download as much as you like :D (if possible at that speed)

Yeah we have that as well if you are in the top ten downloaders for that month your speed is capped for a week. Its called the "fair go" policy.

plusnet do that, from what i've heard

'fair use' policy, if you download ridiculous amounts of gigabytes in like say a week, they will just shun you onto a slow pipe with like a 28k connection :D

I think it's quite fair tbh

i have t-online adsl 1 mbit no limits just disconnects every 24 hours so u cant run a server off it. I think we pay 30 euros/month for both provider and dsl connection. But its nice and stable and so far i have had no problems at all.
