Why does it just say member or the custom title? I like the old the more posts you get the better/just plain new title you get. That was cool :D and I would like to see it back :( pweeeez?

somehow I find myself unable to set my own title, it just doesn't seem right, kinda like how no !setinfo ever seems funny once you set it, but everyone elses do.

No. I like it a lot better with the custom titles. You don't like it, you can stick with your Member title or just change it manually. There's no reason to change everything just because you don't like it :P

Anyone got any ideas for a title for me S:?

I thought about "whiner" to be ironic but then it just looks like an angry moderator set one for me :\

Well, I thought maybe some other people agreed with me, wait a while and see if some one does... (agree with me)

Well I think it saved alot of moderators/admins alot of trouble. So instead of you PMing them and them changing it you can just change it yourself. So that Moderators and all the staff can get to more urgent mail/messages I as well liked the v1.o titles but I understand why it was changed... also the stats... I think that may be in the works on down the road though :P

Yes, the freedom of choice rings loud and clear here on Moddb v2. It's a new version; get used to the change ;(

TheRambo Hello.
Dec 8 2004 Anchor

until a few days ago i wasnt an active moddb member, so i havent had any experience with moddb v.1 (reason: goddamn internet), but still i must say that i would really enjoy this "the more posts the cooler the title". I have often seen it on other forums and i must say i found some of these titles pretty funny. I would appreciate it if this feature would come back. :)

As u may see, my current title is rather lame... so anyone have some ideas?

Even INtense himself likes the old stats better from what I hear :|
... but I really could care less about the Custom Member Titles :P

pfft, you cant have bold texts n everything in the custom title without an admin's help :P

Dec 8 2004 Anchor

Yeah I didnt like that but there was really no way to get around that in v1 but it seemed that Custom Titles meant you were special or something :P

Well, I did really like the old states, but I think it's much better having custom titles. I think the old kind were just useless. Just look at your post count and determine for yourself if you want to trust the guy's words.

Unless, of course, that person happens to be chis.

Well it could be that you are still able to change the title your self, but I still like the old more posts new title thing. Also, yeah, the old stats were the best. I was the #1 lost boffon every month :D

Dec 10 2004 Anchor

Yeah most people liked the old stats better I have found. Here is a link to a thread I made a while back concerning the monthly forum statistics, you should check it out

it could be like the old days where you had to ask for a custome title...

Dec 15 2004 Anchor

Are we still talking about this?

Look, Wilhelm, this is a new version of Moddb. That means there's a new way of doing things around here. Although you liked it, there's little to no chance of it coming back, since a majority of the people actually like having it here. I think it's about time you got over your little rant :P
