Hi all,

I'm new here and hoping you can help me out. I need testers for a new project; if you or anyone you know sounds like a good fit, please send us an email (see below) or pass this on! Thanks!

Are you a gamer with sons age 11-16? We need your help designing a RPG for dads and sons to play together.

We are a team of psychologists and game designers with the non-profit Committee for Children to find ways for fathers and sons to work on socioemotional puzzles in commercial video games.

We need father-son teams willing to spend about an hour testing games and chatting with us about your experiences. You can participate from your home—all you need is a PC with an Internet connection, Firefox or Internet Explorer, and Skype or Google Hangouts installed.

We’re ready when you are. We’ll be scheduling testing sessions throughout October, but please let us know if you’re interested in playing this week.
Interested? Questions? Contact Kristen at kristen [dot] gametest [at] gmail [dot] com; please include your names and your child’s age in your message.

Sounds intriguing,

I don't qualify though, but good luck.

Glad to see psych researchers & Game developers partner up to explore and make video games more than just idle pass times, using psychology and game dev to help rather than just make cool/ potentially concerning mechanics, and wash their hands of responsibility when it turns out potentially damaging.

I'd also look into the World of Warcraft (WoW) community, since I know there are families who play together.

If your not already aware.

Good luck,

And as a fellow game dev, & social psych researcher, I salute you and your team.
