today on a whim i was over at IGN when a news post caught my eye

Steam is expanding its selection of non-Valve titles. Along with Rag Doll Kung Fu, you'll soon be able to download and play Darwinia, the unique strategy title from UK developer Introversion. Valve plans to release the game on Steam on December 14 for $19.95.

ok that really sucks, i liked it when games didn't need steam to run. having steam and the game is a pain in the ass

Yeah, but a plus side to Steam is that unknown developers with a decent game could use it to publish to millions of users.
