Hey there guys! Recently, I've made an AK47 model, now I need to get it textured. I know how to uvm map. I also know how to do simple metal/wood textures, but the problem is that I've got no idea how to make detailed ones. Straight to the point. Is there any good way to make, for example, a fire-switch trigger texture? Cos, as you can see, there's none on the model due to optimization. You know, do I have to make it from the base, or can I crop it somehow? Don |

Alot of people use refrence images and use them for skins. I personally just use photoshop and just make nice skins in there just takes abit of practise to get right aslong as you make a good uv map you will find it quiet easy after a few models. |

What programme are you using to model? Photoshop CS2 or CS3 are a must for texturing. Excellent tutorial, let me know if you run into any issues or don't understand anything. |
