Howdy folklers. I'm currently going through a 1960's and early '70s music binge, trying to digest as much as I can. I think I've reached a dead end, as there aren't many other songs I can think of, and I've already gone through all my older albums and 'best of' collections ripping tracks. So I'm just seeking some suggestions from any other people who've gone through this phase to share your gained knowledge with me, on what you've listened to and loved. Thanks. Here's a playlist of the current songs I have assembled: And yes, I am aware a select few of those songs aren't from the sixties, but they fit in nonetheless. Edited by: frosty-theaussie --

Well, he said he was on a 60's/70's binge, and some of the artists up there are 70's, so I just thought he'd be interested in those, too. -- "He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster." |

BB King and Hendrix are in two different genres You can't really compare the two. BB King was a Blues King (what a coincidence) and Hendrix was a rock n roll king -- "He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster." |

yeah but BB King has played with everyone from Hendrix to SRV (if Christianity was not my religion I would worship SRV) and Janis Joplin was a huge artist in the 60s --

Oh yeah, talking of 60s instrumentals, check out Rich Ragsdale - No One Lives Forever. It isn't truely an instrumental, as there is a short singing segment, but it is dominated by the instrumental melody. I personally think that the name "Beatles" is quite humorous. In case you didn't get the pun in the name (I'm not implying that you didn't, but I'm just pointing it out), its like "Beetles", but with "beat" instead of "beet". Like the Beetles of the Beat (Rock). But everyone already knew that 50 years ago, so leave me alone. lol. ~Sangye |

Already got first two of the three (the songs I got from Birds have the band as "The Byrds", not sure if they are the same band). None from Sam Cooke though. What are some of his most well known songs?
Would that happen also be from the game NOLF perchance?
I have "Experience Hendrix", which includes Little Wing amongst other greats (Fire, Dolly Dagger, Hey Joe and the other two in my playlist). Little Wing reminds me a lot of the 60's rock in Vietcong.
Pfft Beetles. My folks have some greatest hits of the Beetles or something, but I don't know which tracks I'd include if I ripped it.
He's already in there. Take a look at my playlist. --
