Hey guys idk were to exacly post this so i'll just post it here... My question is if i want to sell a UDK game do all the textures, materials, weapons, characters need to be custom imported or can i use the ones in the engine aswell??? Cauz ive read that the only thing i need to sell my games are custom weapons and characters only is that true???

All the terms are spelt out fairly clearly in the UDK licensing terms here:

It says you can use anything except skeletal meshes.

It's still pretty bad form to sell games constructed of default UDK content.

You are not allowed to use Skeletal Meshes. Meaning that each character or object that has some skeleton and animations is not allowed to be used in your product if you mean to sell it.

Everything else like environment props, textures, etc. is allowed to be sold. BUT! It is advised to use your own assets if possible. Try to use only few or none of UT assets.

Why? Coz if you project becomess success you will get into trouble.

I hope this answers your question?

I don't think you'll get in trouble. I do think it will be a major turn off. I personally wouldn't spend money on something that heavily uses default content.
