We are currently looking for modelers that work with (3ds Max). We recruit by a scale that our dev team sets, if you make a 9/10 or higher on the scale you have a chance to get a paying job with us (5.50 U.S per Hour), if you make a 6/10 or lower you will be able to join the dev team but you will not be eligible for a paid position.

5.50 an hour? That's lower than minimum wage.

Sounds like a new way to recruit unpaid people. I never see people use a scale system to judge whether the person get paid or not, it is either you are hire or not lol. We have no clue on your standard and your scale system, is that concept consider as a 9+ piece?

9+ to have a chance to get paid, less than 6 they are not eligable but still can join.... so what if the person get 7 and 8?

5.50 is lower than minimum wage in Canada and USA, Canada's lowest is 8 bucks, USA is average 7.25.

To clarify this is just a job where you sit at home on your computer in your free time. So that is why it doesnt pay min. wage.

But alot of people do just that and get thousands for it especially in game development areas.

Infact that's how it works when you get a professional job, You're just in a different location.

Yea "outsourcing" happens all the time in the industry.
But 5 USD an hour is even below the minimum wage in China.

I do have to wonder how you'll pay the bills for all that F2P server bandwidth when you can't even pay bottom rate for art assets. Do you have any idea what kind of insane ordeal you are asking people to sign up to?

A lot of people work from home that is no different than working in an office. In fact, you don't have to supply them with a computer, the software license and tables and chairs etc.

I know you are trying to go cheap but this is way to low to get anyone decent to work for you.
