I was just reading an article about how european countries find islam and muslims as a threat. Not only was the article just hate filled batner from one side talking about another, with the exception of the swedish muslim who opened the mosque, the comments from other readers were gravely depressing. I honestly can't say I understand either side. Whether or not Islam wants to try and take over or whoever doesn't want to be taken over, neither makes sense. Some people I suppose feel like they won't have a choice and fear that their freedom is going to be taken away. I guess I can see that though that's not my concern specifically. I think that you'll always have a choice about anything but then again I'm a uhm..I call it Quantum Nihilist, I believe the possibility of anything existing on any plane though I don't actually believe in anything specifically. In my opinion, believe whatever you want, whenever and where ever. Most religions teach equality and all that other stuff about being nice to others and whatnot so if you were actually religious enough to have your beliefs broadcast all over the place then you would recognize that if no one is stepping on yours toes then back the flip off and others would presumeably do the same. It's too bad people aren't robots....or everyone should convert to gamism. The belief that video games will rule the world with artificial intelligence feeding our needs for greed, lust and violence with a grand theft auto brain implant. it seems that's all we really care about anyway...

Just wait until the major religions end up blowing eachother up over icons, then Natural selection will do the rest.

I was just doing some reading on the history of europe, then on the history of empires, and it seems like religioin/empires and the such( I consider most countries contemporary empires even though they'ed prolly be pissed off) are just going in circles. in a 100+ years this wont even be an issue and we wont live through most of it. the only ones who will suffer are the people complaining about losing something they got from someone else taking it in the first place. when will the robots rise?

I can actually agree with the headline. When it comes to religion a lot of things you can do is restricted. To make it more clear it makes you feel like you're trapped or confined. Plus it adds stress to the main question "is there really an afterlife." I'm not saying it doesn't exsist; however, at the same time i can't say it does only because we don't know. Religion is something stressful especially the way the world is. From atheists telling us off even though they don't know how we got here (*note i'm just telling the truth and relax i'm not trying to make enemies), then you have all this massive war of the religions all over the world over which belief is correct (which is really sad considering since most believe in the same God), and lastly all i can say is only time will tell when the truth hits everyone like a ban hammer!

Is it not possible that religion exists simply to divide us? Is it not possible that we humans vary in thought, appearance, and ethnicity simply to separate us? Is it not possible that all these things and more exist simply to encourage the act of war? With war comes death, and with death comes a relatively better human-to-resource ratio.

I'm muslim, I never really give a damn about what was in the news about us. A few days ago though, there was an extremely violent protest at a fundraiser near us in Yorba Linda, CA. It looked like one of those southern lynch mobs from the '60s

Y'all might want to learn from our mistakes and just ambush them the next time they do it. Honestly, I'd recommend tranquilizing them (no idea where you're going to get the resources) and simply holding them hostage for a day or two and then releasing them ALL unharmed (or raped). This will help show how non-violent your people can be... whether you are or aren't.
