quick question about HL2 modding Thread

Hey, i make 3d models and can create models (and qc files) for steam games (like hl2 etc) that work fine but when creating a mod to get them to work with the mod to i have to have the scrpiter send me the game and recompile it for the game instead of Hl2 etc?<!--Session data-->
