Posting News restricted to developers only option Thread

I just realized that anyone with an moddb account can post news in my mod site, in fact someone just did it yesterday thinking he was leaking some mod "confidential info" xD, thankfully it wasnt the case, but it makes me wonder that it could really happen....i find this very annoying and well basically my sugestion is that there should be an option to restrict news posting to mod developers only instead of allowing anyone to.

You have the option in the mod profile to allow anyone to post news / updates / downloads, or to allow only members of the group attached to it to do so.

Allow the community to add content in these areas to your mods profile:

Media
Downloads

That's where you restrict others from writing/uploading media/downloads on your mod profile.

I'm new to mod db. I started developing programs in the early 80's, when there was no internet. Yes, I am still 25. I have not published but have modded many games for my own use, and have made some from scratch. I"ve been working Sims and Sims2 for some time and looking for faster action, started looking at Battlefield. I found Battlefield only within the past few months, fell in love, started picking up the mods, now I am hooked. Then I tried the BF2 demo, I believe that given a short time that I will develop a new mod. I love AIX for the great weapons kits, however, the maps have a shortage of buildings to hide in. I play single player, usually as commander, I need a safe area to plan actions, most times I was killed was during my time-outs. PoE has fantastic maps, plenty of bunkers and open buildings to hide in. But, their limited weapons makes sp miserable. Playing sp means that you are practically on your own, you need good rifles, grenades, mines and anything that works with your position. My intention is to develop a mod that will let you choose weapons for every position, for most popular mods, [if possible] without altering their maps. And, [if possible] would like to replace buildings in AiX with ones that have open doors and windows. By the by, I quit playing mp games 4 yrs ago because the cheating made it impossible to enjoy. I employed a detector to watch for scanners, robo aimers and such, and my alarm was constantly beeping. My bots don't cheat? Let me know if anyone agrees, maybe share ideas? feel free to use my ideas as you want. artfuleye
