Hi there,

I'm trying to finish setting up my rig before I start animating my character but I'm having trouble stopping the mesh from intersecting the ground plane. For a biped rig I could set up a planted key to make sure it always walked on the floor but for a custom bone mesh I can't find the option to do the same trick.

Does anyone have the solution to this? I've a feeling it's something really simple but I just can't find it.

Thanks for any help.

Use Inserver Kinematic (IK) control rather than Foward Kinematic(FK)
IK let you place your foot on the ground while FK will only let you rotate bones.

with Ik the foot drive the legs
with Fk its the inverse situation... the foot is parented to the leg which is parented to the body
so basically just create a IK chain ( you can turn it off when needed)
