to be honnest, I don't think people would pay for such models.

Those models had a strict poly and texture size limit. And they were done about 1 month ago.

Your texture work is nice, but the models are way too simplistic to show off your skills, and your website is, to be honest, really bad - it detracts from the professionalism of your work.

It looks like you've got skills, but the presentation (website) and simplistic, dull models (yay, nicely textured guns), kills your chances. Take this as advice from a fellow professional, just trying to help you out. :)

That isnt the problem, you need a lot of work on presentation and more general skill asset.

None have wireframe, polycount, texture size (except for your spartan sword and maya GUI).
None of them is probably rendered out with probably lighting (basic 3pt lighting etc)
All of them are weapon of simplistic shapes, we don't know if you can do complicated weapons that is customizable.
High quality texture doesn't mean sticking a 1k or 2k map on your sword.

I suggest you practice longer before doing business. One way to see if you are ready is compare your stuff with turbosquid's. You can get a better idea of what quality and what price you are looking at.

Don't think I have ever posted on the DB sites before.. but seeing this thread made me see red!

I'm sorry but the other 2 posters are spouting nonsense.

What? That makes no sense to start with. They are good but no good? They look like great game assets to me (yes OK slightly generic, guns etc). If anything they are way too high poly going off that first gun. Take a look at real game assets and you will be amazed at modern poly counts, they are not as large as you think.

and Los_Pescados your comment is completely duff. People would pay good money for quality assets such as those if you can produce them in a way that's fits a teams pipeline and you turn them around fast enough.

Copyright, your work is good for games. Keep it up. Work on creating your assets for a 3D Engine (Epics UDK is a great example), Learn the production pipeline and understand how 3D assets work and their limitations. Once you understand the production pipeline and can show people that you should be able to seek paid work.

The one thing I agree on is your website is extremely garish. Its OK to have simple sites or flashy sites but this sits some place else :S. Get hold of a web/graphic designer to knock you up some nice graphics and you will be sorted. :)

I'll spare you my criticism unless you ask for it, though it is more inline with what inverted and shadow were saying. I will say the prices you have in mind and the speed at which you work could have a major impact on who even considers contacting you, so it might be beneficial to list some form of rates to use as a guideline (this is basic information so it shouldn't be something that someone has to put effort into learning, and still leaves room for negotiations depending on the complexity of what they want modeled). If its fast and really cheap, whatever. But for legal reasons, as money is involved, it might be nice to know if you do actually have commercial licenses for Maya and Photoshop.

Thanks for all the replys guys! Yes, the website does need a lot of work.
Also, I work VERY cheap ( Should of mesioned that ) Like 25% of the price turobsquid would offer the same product.

And I usually get things done in one day.

Low polys usually don't take weeks :P

tbh you won't find work with those kind of models. You say they were done in a month. no offence but i can to them in about 2 or 3 days and have better results. however best of luck finding a paid job

They weren't done in one month, they were done in one day. IMHO, it shows. Your suggestion of spending 2-3 days per model sounds about right to me.

Hmm, well I have a question. You say you've got someone interested in working with you. Can I ask how much they agreed to pay you? Just being nosey, so that I can get a benchmark for when and if I decide to pimp myself out.
