Hi,

Currently trying to set up a website for a game in progress. I have the hosting site set up and have installed Joomla onto the site using simple scripts but I am having trouble with developing the site how I want. I have tried learning and reading the tutorials but I realise I'm not going to get this done very well.

What I need is a website where people can view not just the project, but also log in as users and then access user downloads and chat on the forum. I want them to be able to comment on newsfeeds, images and videos and so on and have profile pages. I also would like this to tie into the forums on the page, where many topics will be. In the forums will also be a developers only section where we can discuss the project and update in private. The news feeds will be unique to the site (not through rss or wordpress or whatever). I'm not sure in Joomla can do this directly or whether I'd have to install something like b2evolution. Also with the forums Joomla has forums but I might try and integrate phpbb into Joomla (you can do this using extensions) so everything has the same login and so on.

I have looked at a few things but I'm struggling with Joomla. It would be great if someone could come in and help me set up the basic functions of the site and get the technical side working, make the headers and menus and so on. That way I can edit the content and maintain the site once I understand it a lot more.

It might be a lot to ask, I'm not sure. To some it might take half an hour, for me it will take eternity and I need the site set up relatively soon.

If anyone could help that would be great and of course you'd receive full credits and a link to your site and so on, also if you wish perhaps become a member of the design team.

Seb.
