New site theme Thread

It seems a lot of complaints are steming from the sites RED / WHITE / BLACK clashing contrasts.

Therefore if someone is able to mockup a new mellow color theme (ie. blue / grays) and send through a screenshot of how it will look, I am happy to implement it in the next week. Personally I quite like this theme, but I can see how one may find it harsh on the eyes

Photoshop ===> Adjust =====> Hue / Saturation ====> Saturation set to 0

Yeah, the bright white is what hurts

i realy like the design, the colors also. the only thing what looks wired is the grey

For me the Color is not the problemm, the Layout is crapy

But here for a color theme that doesnt hurt like this red thing here.

turn down the colors a bit, and you'll have a v3 1.5 style!

I reckon the forums look better with that colour scheme.

This site looks soooo compaq

back to v2.0 would be the ultimate but with that desaturated color scheme you could finally look at that page without getting blind in an instant ¬.=.¬

Gamespot made a special theme for sore eyes: Gamespot.com

To be honest, I don't find this site more strenuous than an entirely white site.

FoxDF for teh win. That's a nice colour scheme there.

I want to see a few more so we have some to choose from before a decision is made!

I am working on one now, I'll post it if I think it looks cool.

@Hatel3reed : Wait, your allready messig up with the CSS? I would suggest you first try the colors in Photoshop, less work

The only thing I find a problem is the white on the forum, and in the center pages, could just be greyed up a bit, like v2's forums, the design as a whole is great, don't want that changing ;D

Should be interesting to see what people come up with.
