Hi there,

I am Amar Ahlers from Sila Games. I thought you guys might be interested in knowing that we created a free platform that you can use to distribute your Indie games internationally. The idea is very simple, you can either submit game for free, then anyone can play it, or you can use the platform to monetize your game in which case you can earn 66.5% of the monthly user fee directly (which is split between the percentage of each game played), and an additional 5% is split between every non-free (premium) game in the platform.

(the rest is used to run the site, and support developers with marketing).

We are pretty small right now with 25 registered developers that submitted 30+ games. But then again we just launched it and are still running the platform as a closed beta. As of now we mainly have PC & web games and a few Android & iOS games...

From the technical side you would have to implement our SDK in the game so that we can track how often and how many users play your games, which takes about 10 - 15 minutes.

So here is the site: www.silagames.com

And we got another site just for developers: developers.silagames.com

And if you want to register and try out some games you can use the promo site that we created for GuiltyBit Media here: Silagames.com

I hope you guys find this as interesting and as exciting as we do, and I'll be here for a while to answer any questions. Any feedback is greatly appreciated :)

So I was perusing your site and I came across the page describing your membership options.

What does this mean:

- 10 gameplays/month to premium games

This looks to me, rather worryingly, like you're going to restrict either the number of games your free members are allowed to purchase. The other interpretation, even more worryingly, is that you would actually restrict how many times someone could play a game that they have purchased.

Please, tell me I've misunderstood something.

I snark, therefore, I am.

Hey, yes you did misunderstand something. First of, anyone can play any free game for as long and as much as they like. Additionally we also allow users to try out premium games (with a free account). The premium account goes for people that want to support the developers of the games they play.

Most important of all, we don't sell games. The concept of Sila Games is that users pay a monthly fee instead of purchasing games. That way they are never limited and can try out any game they like and developers can profit from their true fans that play their games a lot (typically more than a month) :)

Don't take me too seriously, because most of the time I am trying to be light-hearted, or at least post some evident information.

To be able to look stylish one must wear stylish clothes. I think I'll have to treat myself to a new erotic teddies for women soon.

I get it, so it isn't like a store where you buy a copy of the game, it is like a subscription where you can play anything in the catalog as long as you keep paying.

Exactly, except that over 80% of our games are playable with a normal account (free). The premium option is really for those that want to support their developers and get some more more features.
