Hi im currently developing an island survival game in unity 3d and i was looking to see how many people are interested in this sort of thing if you are can you possibly make a forums account on my website and post something?

I think survival games are saturating the market at the moment and you might struggle to get interest such early in development.

Why not make a survival game from a non-human perspective for a change? The life of a rat is probably more challenging than that of man. And you could have online play in swarms ^^

I agree completely. If you are really intent on the genre, it will take something quite unique to get people's attention. A highly-original key difference would seem to be requisite.

Depends on how much "surviving" there actually is. If it was a complete survival sandbox game, sort of like mincraft and lost in blue smooshed together, id buy it.

TKAzA is right: Atm there are too many survival games around (and in development):
DayZ, Terraria, Contagion, The Last of Us and one I personally look forward to; Solus - Youtube.com

Check that last link - that's the kind of competition you are up against. It's being developed by three guys, an artist, a coder and a genious, one-man-army -like Tech Artist. (Teotl Studios)
