Hey, I'm new here and I need everything that is needed for modding Max Payne 2. I wanna know what you guys think are the best modeling, sound, ect programs are. Please post the name of it and a link so I can download it. Thanks!

Rockstargames.com has the actual Max Payne mod tools, which you'll need for anything to do with the game.
As for modelling/sound/coding apps, theres really nothing but trials avaliable for download. I got no idea what model exporters MP2 sports, but I'd say most likely 3ds max or Maya. As for sound, go for something like Audacity which is free. For coding Dev-C++ is the best free one around.
I'm too lazy to post links for all of these so just google 'em and you'll get the sites.

MilkShape3D can be used to model, and I don't doubt that it has a Max Payne 2 exporter. Its not free, but at $25 compared to the $3,000+ for the top notch programs, you can't go wrong.

There's also the Mya Learning Edition, though I've only heard of that one. So I'm not sure of its exporting capabilities.

i believe for modeling maya is the best and what is good is that you can also download a free version. search for maya ple

also 3ds max 6 is good also softimage xsi and some other stuff but the most use are maya, 3ds max, and xsi softimage
