Music Wars! Thread

Hehe, i'm just full of ideas. I don't intend on making these mods, that is of course unless someone is willing to help. You choose a type of music, and have themed weapons for that particular style. Metal would have explosive-based weapons, Disco would have lazer-based weapons, Punk would have melee-based weapons, pop would have "parasite"-based weapons ect.

Examples of some weapons could be:
Metal:
A guitar that, when played fires musical notes that explode on impact. When it needs reload, the guitar goes out of tune. It must then be tuned in before it can be used again.
A bass guitar that is the same as the guitar, exept the notes don't explode on impact.
The METAAAAAL!!! Stick - A metal stick which, when held in the air, makes metal music fall from the sky and explode on the desired target.
Disco:
Disco ball - This Disco ball, when swung around in the air, fires lazers in multiple directions in front of the user.
Punk:
The Pogo - This makes the player bounce up and down, squishing anyone who the player lands on. It may also be used to reach otherwise unreachable places.
Deadly Fist - Plain ol' fist-to-the-face. It really hurts with those knuckle dusters, aswell.
Pop:
Screaming Girlies(hehe) - The girls are very deadly and just don't seem to go away (Very Realistic ). These minature versions are easier to handle, but when you let them loose they are just as deadly.
Microphone - The most important piece of equipment for pop music. This microphone fires musical notes that chase the enemy around the room and explode on impact.
Dodge the Beat! - Musical notes randomly fall in various places in the map. They bounce around the map, Killing any players that get in the way. The musical notes NEVER explode or dissapear, but they can be bounced away (or towards) players by shooting the notes. The last player alive wins.

So tell me what you think and add to this if possible.

Gameplay:
Stage Assualt - One team will (probably) come in on vehicles. The object of the game is to go into the festival ground, and take over the stage. The other team will have to try and defend the stage at all costs, with the help of the security guards. There will be shops where you can buy ammo and health around the map.
Sellout - You must go to a record labels headquarters, and fill as many shops shelves with your cds as possible. If a shelf is already filled with cds from another team, you can replace the cds with your cds. The team with the most shelves filled with their cds wins.

Where do you keep pouring these really odd ideas from? This actually sounds like it could be really good, if it was made with nice graphics that aren't too shabby or outdated.

The gameplay elements behind it could actually work !

But would anyone ever want to make it lol!

Levels would be like a Yellow Submarine, two Tour buses on seperate bridges, and a big giant theater.

could also do all sorts of things like a recording studio or inside a giant piano or...

I'm shutting up now.

I have no idea were these ideas come from. I usually just suddenly think, "Wow that would make a cool mod!" and just build on that idea. I also think i'm slightly insane.

Hehehe, but where's the logic behind that : Punk would have melee-based weapons why? They should simply have all keys bound to 'kill;echo Doing the world a favour' Pop has parasite based weapons etc? ? ?

I think its a long shot, Im talkin long as hell shot....not very consistent style of game, but very modable..

It'll get C&D'd.... by the RIAA that is :X

If you read the rest of it, it gives some examples of the weapons. Also, pop is a parasite eating away at the world. But that's just my opinion.

People who dislike metal (bastards!) especially should know why it has explosive based weapons. And Disco is obvious.

Hiphop would have to be included with a ghetto level and gold chains to smack people and bling-bling ice (diamonds to normal people) that would act a s some form of flashbang, they bling-bling so bright that your opponent gets blind!

And a new gamemode: the more you frag, the more jewelry you get -> the heavier you get -> the slower you get, etc.

Fast, bad players, can than kill you easier and voila, a very balanced gameplay mode.

Capture the flag would be Capture the Contract

Or of course that good old hiphop classic, assasin, where you kill man with the most frags

No, that's Jerry Goldsmith's weapon. An opera singer would use her fat cleavage to suck people up into oblivion.

dunno, most guests look to old threads or browse the forums looking weird or mod related topics, look in the online section and you'll see
