modDB V4 Vent Thread

To show support to this awesome site and v4 I have done but a simple thing.

VENTRILO

If your a vet or a newbie or staff join the ventrilo (as well as use the forums) but I figured we could start the rest of the year off with a bang. New Ventrilo is out and the new v4 of modDB.

FYI: The #moddb (GameSurge) irc channel is open to and with so many online and signed in on a daily basis we shouldn't be so shy!

ps: I created a new group. Game Radio if your making music or you are a DJ I am looking for you as I will ad your music to our radio station that I play 24/7

Nice work bw, im more of a skype fan myself vent drives me up the wall but cool initiative.

ya skype is good but i find for some reason that i lag out or someone from a long far land (country) is laggy but on vent everything seems to work good.

I thought you were going to come in here and vent about not liking V4.

i like it and i was talkin to scotty 2 hotty and he is love with his skype but this v4 needs some shakin and movin in the high tech world. The irc is needing some new people and vent is popular.

I wish i created my own random servers of whatever then have the authority to call them official, related, affiliated MODDB ones.

ohh come on cheapy its vent its harmless do you have to be a smartass every chance you get or were you honestly deep down wishing you could do something to help moddb? If your were being nice for once I would love you to make the moddb mod your good at getting stuff done. If your being you move along.

Its a tool to hang out in and talk among others. Even your allowed in!
ps: cheapy Scott is aware of the vent im not out just creating moddb shirts and shoes its vent

Bluewolf, while we appreciate your ongoing support, can you please, before announcing anything "official" obtain clearance from Scott or myself since you are not a member of mod DB Staff and do not have authority to act on our behalf.

Valid point you raise Greg. We have to be careful about misleading our community and throwing the ModDB name around when site officials are not necessarily involved in the project.

In this instance I gave blue permission to see if there is interest in our community to use a vent server, however BW72 is well aware of what he can/cannot do regarding the Mod DB name.

the idea of the vent was to get modders to use talk and hang out and do something more. The forums are great, IRC is there but no one uses it. Same thing might go for this vent but I have it and it is going to waste and I wanted to see if it would/could be used its for the community and staff if they find the time to join!
