modDB v2.0 Progress. Thread

Ok basically this thread will evolve around this first post which i will update, as i complete modDB v2.0 code. I've broken down the site into different areas and at the bottom i'll say all the features that are changed

This rocks, Intense! Are you staying with that tidy and neat white-grey layout?

You need to set up a sub-domain with user+password access for staff to test and view mate.

Well actually the most complicated part was creating the new site engine and that is 90% done.. i just added it then, so you can see there is a fair bit of progress already made

The plan of attack from here is pretty simple, basically convert and port modDB v1.5 exactly as it is over to the new engine applying enhancements as that is done. (not an easy task this, as that means i am having to rewrite approximatly 50,000 lines of existing code)

Then i will make the remaining enhancements that weren't completed during the porting process and, voila it'll be ready for launch!

All development work is presently been made on my home PC and I have a url that the test site can be seen, it will be quite a while however before you will be able to interact with the site, presently all it is, is the main page with news on it, however it will be getting updated daily and hopefully be complete in about 2 months, pretty much on schedule

well please email the staff for we have ideas and we have talked about so much over the year and you probably didnt write down each good idea we talked about.

I will email you mine again and you can sift thru them.

Or we can talk about it in staff discussion :-X

Well all i've done so far is code in the login system, however today i started playing around with the news system and well i've already made some radical layout changes.

So yeah lots of changes going on, news system is looking quite different already
