Hey guys just a quick question for you all.. at the moment a mods status can be - Authorised I don't think this system is working good enough, we need something like "dead" or whatever to add, what do you guys reckon? adding "dead" will do the trick? -- Scott Reismanis |

Forget deleting, no mod is ever deleted from the site, from now on it will be basically deleted (as in archived and moved to another table, never to be seen again) I think i'll just add DEAD which will archive and remove the mod from the site permanently but leave it there just incase it needs to be restored that should do the trick and help clean up the database alot -- Scott Reismanis |

Its very annoying, and presently the system isn't designed that well in that mods which are obviously dead and more than just inactive are still wasting space and resources in the database so now they will be archived never to be seen again -- Scott Reismanis |

How about finished status for mods too? |

Yeah I was about to say that. Only "Completely finished" ones however. Maybe a "Version released:" field? - Edited By CheapAlert On Fri 16th, Apr 2004 @ 8:08:29am -- < insert subject games here >

I think inactive isn't specifc enough. a mod can be 'inactive' for a while without fully stopping. the person(s) making the mod may just nbot update for a little while. I think there really does need to be a 'Dead' status for mods that aren't going to be update again... ever. --

ohh another thing for a mod profile. lets say cheap doesnt want to be the leader of the mod any longer and arvey-Haynos does. Can there be in the mond control panel for cheap to remove himself and type in: arvey-Haynos and poof cheap isnt the leader any longer? |

but when a mod comes out, lets say ummmm.... counterstrike, they dont really update for long times --

I like that. The mods that are basically deleted and sent to a separate table should still have their names on the database, that way no one else can make a mod of the same name and face rights issues with others, you know? |
||
|
Apr 16 2004 Anchor | |
A deleted mod has rights? It was likely deleted for a reason anyway |

I think released mods are exempt from that, carni - why delete a finished and released mod from a 'definitive' mod database? |
