Hello,
I am a project manager for an American Civil war based mod for VALVe's source engine (more specifically the Orange Box engine). This engine uses C++ programming. We have managed to get a full mod team; level designers, 3D modelers, texture artists and even an animator. However one vital part is missing: a programmer. After a few months of looking for one, the team is completely demoralized and work has almost completely halted.

Therefor if anyone would be willing to help us out, or even just push us in the right direction, that would be greatly appreciated.

Our moddb page: States at War mod for Half-Life 2 - Mod DB

If anyone is interested, please reply to this tread or make a thread in our recruitment page on the forum.

Thanks in advance,

Hherlev

Coders as far and few good luck in finding one, and i hope you do as i have been watching your mod...
but you could always learn to code yourself..

not perfect but you could get things rolling

What you can do is to put things together as far as possible, relase a little demo and then ask once again for a coder.
Once you have managed to draw some attention on the Moddb main-page and your mod looks like something promising
you should be able to get some one helping you.

Most modders grow with their work, so you should not ask for to much if you wana find someone
helping you you better take someone honestly interested in your mod instead of a high-skilled one day fly.
Even if your coder will be a beginner what matters is that he/she is motivated and willing to learn,
the rest will come by practise. Sometimes I see job offers here at moddb that scare even me.
some skill sets asked from the c++ dudes here range from 6 years to 10 years industry experience.

If you wana find a coder make it easy for the coder to see the potential and the fun in your project.
If you can't find a good coder for you, help some one to become good at beeing your coder :)
