So, I am wanting to get into modding and so on.
I have very basic skills of C++, and then I've modeled.
I like drawing, but I'm not exactly the best at it.

Meh, I have this problem with wanting to see my stuff come to use, so I want to join some small project any stuff I do for you may get used, it seems I learn best when I have a task given to me and have to find ways to solve it.
I can do basic 3D models, I have done one Character model that actually made it into a small french game.
Was my 3rd model ever I think. Anyway I don't really have anything to show you, since I've formatted my pc.
Have spent some time messing about with modding the Quake code, and then some Source as well, nothing groundbreaking though, just pretty simple stuff.

So.. Modeling props and such, as long as it isn't too fancy shouldn't be a problem. And simple coding should be do-able :)
Sorry about the somewhat messy post.
PM me an email address or something if interested.

Hmmm... There aren't any "small" projects on Mod DB to my knowledge, perhaps try making some sweps for Garrysmod to get the experience if your looking for something simple? I have a really complex job that needs doing, but I need an experienced programmer/ experienced moddler for that :/

there's TONS of small projects, they just don't use up all the front page space. :D

i'd say just go make something yourself for Quake 2 (or similar) to get a little more experience. Then someone might come to you. :)

Go play some Quake 2: q2server.fuzzylogicinc.com
It's like Source v0.9, only... better!
Play Paintball for Doom 3!: d3server.fuzzylogicinc.com
Doom 3 Paintball to the Max!

Either that or maybe make a gametype for HL2 deathmatch or something (If your into source moding). Maybe make something different, I know someone made HL2 CTF at one point or another, its not "quick and easy" but its fairly small, and shows you can do something.
