INTRODUCTION: This is a free production, done for fun, so there is no pay involved, its just something fun to do and get a lotta laughs, both in the production of each episodes, and the viewing of the final product and all our amazingness put together in end. If you fit the qualifications and roles described below, and your interested in joining the project, please email or Skype me, and whoever you are, I thank you for your valuable time.
The show is about 15 characters all from different backgrounds, reside in a small town in the middle of a warfare between 2 rival gangs, and must put their hatred toward eachother aside to team up with the local protective gang, and help keep eachother alive. One line that a character mentions in the show is "Crack heads hang with crack heads, and hate shooters, who hang out with shooters, and hate crack heads, but will constantly fight their enimies to keep eachother alive... To continue hating eachother, you see the problem with this here? NOBODIES DIEING!" - the show is supposed to be very comedic, so there are very few actual serious moments. The idea of that speech is that, we all have our own groups, and generally dont like people not in our group or like what we like, though even though there our enemy, we will still help them fight their battles, and we dont have a reason why other then, their enimies are also ours. When in reality, we just want to see them alive so we can continue to hate them.
The majority of the team have been formed. The roles listed here are the few members we are still looking for. Characters Animator & Lip Sync: Animating all character dialog and head motion (head nods, facial expression, etc) General Artist: Create all artwork that may be needed for development, such as character concepts, weapon concepts, building floor plans, etc - you will be given help from other artists as well *If you are interested in VOICE ACTING, you can check out details about this here: Behindthevoiceactors.com QUALIFICATIONS:

I admire the ambition and making any animation, even a short one, is mighty ambitious. First question and most important: How many minutes is each episode planned to be? |

Thanks. Initially, I would want to try and keep them short, between 10 - 15 (minus breaks, credits, and intro, just content, with breaks and credits and all that, probably end out to be around 12 - 17), though, if the team is up for it, we can essentially double that, and do full length episodes of 30 minutes including breaks and credits. |

Ah. May I recommend keeping each episode down to ~2 minutes, max? As you'll discover, there is SO much more work involved than you might imagine in making animation. The shorter the episodes = the easier to manage. It will also prove crucial in keeping the team motivated. The next question is: What is the art style of the animation? |

2 minutes could be possible, if we create really short episodes, which, I personally find a bit boring, cause theres not much of a story you can introduce a problem, let it get worse, then solve it in 1 episode of 2 minutes. But like I said, if the full team decides that they want to go for 15 - 20 - 30 - 40 minutes or however long, we can do that. I dont have a real preference on that, as long as its a reasonable length, cause essentially what im trying to do is create something entertaining for everyone - the team, and the viewers to enjoy, with free time, on the side. The team currently seems very active and motivated/hyped to get started, so as soon as I get a writer to help out with everything, I feel the process should be very smooth at that point, since most of the content is already pre-made. Art style of the animation? Well im not expecting anything super realistic like GTA 5, probably something like a regular cartoon off Adult Swim, somewhat basic, that makes it look like they are pronouncing certain words like humans do, when in reality its about 3 or 4 different animations repeated really quickly in a specific order. I am not trying to develop anything thatll win a Emmy or something, just something simple, small, and fun. So as simplistic as we can keep it, really, since it IS a side thing, and not a "full time 24-hour" thing as well for the majority of the tech people. Me included. |
